Starting the Flute in her early teens, Jane split her playing between performing in a young Folk Rock group with giving Classical recitals across the SouthWest. After gaining the ABRSM Laura Marco Prize and Performance Grants, she trained Classically at RWCMD, also studying Jazz, Improvisation and Composition.
Jane's Professional Orchestral work includes Welsh National Opera, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Sinfonia Cymru, Sinfonietta NorthEast, as well as Theatre pitwork and Recording Sessions around the UK. She has appeared as Soloist with Contemporary Ensembles and Orchestras.
Jane has been performing and writing with traditional Folk and Jazz bands as a multi-instrumentalist for the last 10 years, touring and headlining at Folk Festivals all across the UK with Folk Bands, including Sidmouth, Larmer Tree, Cambridge, Gosport, Wimborne, Chippenham and Trowbridge, the Isle of Ischia, BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards, Brecon Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Festival, Vale of Glamorgan Festival, and numerous venues across the UK.
